Born in Chennai, I have lived in Hyderabad, Ootacamund, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Ranipet and Vellore before moving to Bangalore.

I have always been interested in writing and while growing up, I was the editor of my school magazine and college newspaper.
My love for books and reading, led me to study Literature in college, which I later followed up with a Certificate in Teaching English.

I’ve done all of the following for brief stints: worked as a copywriter in an advertising agency, edited books and textbooks, been a freelance writer and book reviewer, taught English, been part of a trust which started a school.

Through it all, I’ve believed that books and stories are among the best ways for everyone, especially children, to explore new ideas and cultures.
My published books are for children across age groups from 4 years to 12 years. Humour, fantasy, mystery and adventure are the strong elements in my work.

My most current area of interest is to write early readers for children starting to read and chapter books for those starting to read independently.
